Welcome from Pastor Larry Baker
A native of Brooklyn, N.Y., Larry has served in ministry since 1996. He and his wife, Shannon, originally from Canton, N.C., have served over 20 years in the pastorate of churches in Maryland and Pennsylvania; as North American Mission Board church-planting missionaries; and in youth ministry. The happy couple has two beautiful daughters, Hannah and Lauren. Larry, who earned a bachelor of arts and master of divinity degrees from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and a doctor of ministry degree from Gateway Seminary, has a passion for small group ministry, where he delights in seeing Christians grab a hold of God’s Word and apply it directly to their lives. He loves preaching God’s Word and finds it hard to contain the fire within him as he teaches truth from deep within his soul. He also loves starting movements, where people use their God-given gifts to minister to others.
