EVENTS YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT

Current Sermon Series

“Amazing grace, how sweet the sound, that saved a wretch like me.” Those words were written by John Newton, a former slave ship captain, who experienced the unmerited love, forgiveness, and favor of God through Jesus Christ. Newton was saved … and he never got over it. Until the day he died, he was singing of God’s unfathomable graceJoin us this month as we learn about the deepest love and grace poured out of the greatest sacrifice in history. This grace heals, forgives, empowers, and instructs us how to live the Christian life. This grace truly beyond amazing.

Covered Dish Fellowship, April 7

Join us immediately after the service for a covered dish fellowship meal. You can feel free to bring your favorite dish to share, but it isn’t necessary! The food is always abundant, and the fellowship is so sweet!

CHECK OUT OUR PAST EVENTS

Since (and even before) its launch on September 11, 2022, Anastasis Fellowship Church (AFC) has been seeking to make a difference in the Antietam Valley! We meet in the Antietam Valley Recreation and Community Center, right in the heart of this beautiful community!

Pastor Larry Baker and several church members have knocked on over 6,000 doors in Antietam Valley, where he has done surveys to learn about the community’s needs and members have shared about our church’s events. We’ve had the opportunity to pray for several residents who were facing loss or difficulty. We care about Antietam Valley!

AFC has ¬†collected school supplies for Mt. Penn Elementary School, given away Christmas backpacks filled with toys and essentials to local residents and vital non-profits, ¬†and otherwise has served at a variety of neighborhood events, including the community yard sale, Trunk or Treats, the Easter egg hunt, Farmer’s Markets, Family Fun Nights, Fall Festivals, and so much more! We love the Antietam Valley!

Would you like to join us?

Our Sunday morning format is super simple. We gather together at 10:30 a.m. for a church service, during which, we sing worship songs, we pray, we listen to a message from Pastor Larry, who teaches us from the Bible, and we consider how to apply these truths to our lives.

Children 5th grade and under are invited to participate in worship and then are dismissed for their own age-appropriate lessons, which includes Bible stories, crafts, games and more. After our services, we often hang out with each other, enjoying each other’s friendship.

Please join us Sunday mornings at 10:30 a.m. at 905 Byram Street (see map) in Reading!
